What To Do After A/L Exam

It's over… Finally it's over… I think you faced you’re A/L exam as best as you can do. Some students may think it's just an exam but I think it's one of most important exam to make your career path success. Now I think you all know you’re A/L result and you know whether you will can get qualified for a government university. Otherwise if you may think it's enough if you can get qualified for a private campus. I wrote this article to help you to spent next few months as an 'after A/L student' usefully and profitably.

Now think how successfully you faced your A/L exam. Are you sure you will get qualified for one of your dream government university course? Then just relax and try to know more about that course and follow some basic tutorials that will help you to follow that university course easily. While you do those studies, try to find an internship that suite for your career path. Otherwise you can follow a diploma/ HND/ CIMA/ Chartered or something else that you think it will be a help for your future. And this is the best time period to participate some local and international competitions and to get some volunteer experiences (Click here to know more about volunteering). When you participate for competitions in this time period, do your best to win but it's enough having some fun, experiences and new friends, mentors in the field you love. Visit some education and training exhibitions also with your friends (Click here to view latest exhibitions in Sri Lanka). And this is the best time to work on your startups. If you have a great idea that will make your own business or will do something to the world to make it better, start to work on it now.

Ok. Now think again how successfully you faced you’re A/L exam. Are you sure you will get qualified for any government university course that you think "it's a good for me"? Then my advice is not to face A/L again. Don't waste one year from your life. Don't waste even a second. But it's up to you okay. If you think you really need to follow your dream government university course, you can ready for A/L again. Unless that, you can do things as I mentioned above.

If you think you will be able to follow a private campus degree (you should have some money also), then work hard for it following some tutorials and workshops. I think you have selected the best private campus for your higher education. If you still can't select the best private campus for you, visit some education and training fairs & exhibitions with your friends (Click here to view latest exhibitions in Sri Lanka). You can participate for some competitions and you can get some volunteer experiences also (Click here to know more about volunteering). You can make some new friends and if you really like, you guys can work on a startup.

I'm sorry if you guys think that you should have to face next A/L exam also. Don't waste your time then. It's okay relaxing your mind but don't take a long break. Start to attend revision classes and paper classes. And if you think it's better if you study commerce subjects or art subjects without studying maths or bio next time, it will be a good choice. I tell so because arts, commerce students also can have a BSc degrees now in Sri Lanka as well as some other countries. Otherwise you can try some private campuses also. It's okay if you have a really good startup ideas. But I think there should be a safe net for your life. So try to get ready studying hard for next year A/L exam.

While doing all these things, don't forget to be relax and to have some fun. It's all about enjoying your life J. Please don't forget to leave your comments below. Thanks!!!
